Paloma, the dove, began her way through the shop. She will be an electric keystone tenor and we are already making great progress on her. Her sides have been planed and bent. We added endblocks (predrilled for her pickup) and one side of the kerfing is in. The other side of the kerfing goes in tomorrow and then we start on her neck. Tomorrow is going to be neck day. Enjoy!
- After a quick bath in boiling water, Paloma’s ribs get put in the cold bender. This is the first side.
- Here you can see the second side of the ribs being bent
- The ribs are finished bending and have been trimmed and place in the mould. Nice curves, yes?
- Once in the mould, we glue in the heel and endblocks which will suport the neck and pickup jack
- Here the first side fo the kerfing goes in. This will support the soundboard.
- Paloma’s heel block. The pickup jack will mount in this block
