Great progress yesterday. Installed the K&K Sound pickups in “Matanuska” and “Ed” and closed them up. They actually look like ukuleles now. We’ll be working on their fretboards today as well as the sketches for “Matanuska’s” painted finish. We are rolling now.

Ha Ha I had to go back and look at those pictures to see what you meant. Yes that is indeed a semi-hollow body taking shape in the background. That one was actually going to be a bass but I may use a different body for my first uke bass. I’ll probably make the one in the pictures a lefty archtop.

It’s pretty exciting Larry. I actually have three semi-hollow bodies going now. I’m planning a tenor, a bass and a lefty.
