Connor is to be a semi-hollow, tenor ukulele. He will be in our new ultra-slim style with an asymmetric back and a cutout. He will also be the first of our “Fat Bottom” ukuleles. So named because of the big round lower bout and the neatly cinched, wasp-waist. We love the semi-hollow construction because we can put curves in the body that just couldn’t be done with bending…at least not by me. His traditional all-mahogany look will contrast nicely with his bold, cutting edge design.
- Semi-hollow all Mahogany body. Sides are deeply cutout leaving a quarter inch edge for gluing
- In this end-on view you can see that Connor’s back is asymmetric. this will rotate the fretboard up
- Hmm…this ukulele may need a woman’s name…I’m just saying.
- The grain on this Mahogany soundboard is so even and straight, it’s hard to see that it is actually two pieces glued together.
Smile when you play that!™
