Ed is a tenor ukulele in our signature keystone shape. He has Poplar sides and back with a curly maple sound board. His neck is Mahogany with a Cocobolo fretboard and bridge. He uses Grover 14:1 geared tuning machines pulling premium Worth fluorocarbon strings. His black nut is buffalo horn. Ed is electric and has a passive K&K Sound Twin Spot pickup under his bridge. Enjoy.

Simple Poplar is simply stunning. This is caused by mineral staining as the tree grows.

Smile when you play that!
WOW!!! That is a gorgeous instrument. Well done, Dave!!
Thanks very much Bob!
Jeanne say’s Oh My, Beautiful!
What, only side dots?
Still a gorgeous piece of work…
I’m toying with the idea of inlaying some contrasting wood into the side fo the fretboard as markers. Big bold notches. We’ll see!
That is a pretty sweet looking uke! the bridge looks slanted… is that for tuning compensation or action?
The bridge insert is both curved (to match the radius of the fretboard and slightly compensated. I had Ed with me at the Saturday Xmas play-along. He’s got terrific tone.
I can’t believe I missed it! darn!
I’m working on a similar one right now so when that’s done I’ll bring it too. No worries.
Hi
Beautiful piece of kit.
Are any of your Ukes for sale? if they are, how much would you charge for an ‘Ed’?
Hey thanks Stu. I appreciate it. I do sell my ukuleles. I haven’t been able to get any built for stock but I’m working on that. I’ll send you an email with pricing. Thanks so much for your interest!
