Busy in the ukulele shop

Just a quick update to show we haven’t been loafing. Four ukuleles in finishing.

4 ukuleles getting their finish applied

A curly Maple tenor with custom sound hole, two birdseye Maple tenors one with a small neck and one with a medium v-neck and a 2 puka concert ( will be strung left-handed)

And the same four from the back.

Don’t you just love Poplar? The color range is amazing! Found a board last week that is completely deep purple, in fact, it was nearly black. The concert with the taped edge is going to be painted with Milk paint.

      Yeaaaa … and look how well that poplar racing stripe lines up with the heel cap! Sweet work.

        I love Poplar. I found some the other day that was completely purple/black. The color range is just incredible and it’s sustainable too.
